DigitalByNature Privacy Statement

I have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate and make known to my visitors my firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for Digital By Nature.

Below is a list of the information I collect about you during your visit?

Information is obtained about you in a number of ways.

1. The web servers that my site resides on creates log files of all requests made for wallpapers and web pages as well as any other files requested by my users. These log files contain the time of the request, the IP address of the request, the resource requested, the browser and OS used to make the request, as well as the hyperlink which was clicked on to cause the request to be made (aka - "referrer"). I review and analyze these logs to get a better idea of when my site is the busiest, which items are the most (and least) popular, which ISPs my users are using to access my site, and which pages on the web link to me. All of this information is used to track my site traffic as well as to improve the content on my site and your experience while visiting it. I do not store info about specific users.
2. I run a *opt-in mailing list through **Topica, in which will allow you to subscribe to this list with the intentions to receive an email from myself when and if I update this web site. I may not, nor do I promise to, email this opt-in list every time I update this site. By opting into this list, you agree to accept the terms and conditions of set forth by Topica and Digitalbynature.
3. You can be sure that under no circumstances will Digitalbynature share your personal information with any 3rd party. Your email address will never be given (or sold) to spammers and junk mailers. I am committed to protecting your privacy and want to provide my visitors a peace of mind regarding personal information. This policy will NEVER change.
4. My site provides a way which allows you to "recommend" Digitalbynature to your friends. This form asks you to give your own name and email address and to supply the names and addresses of the friends you want to write. A copy of this data and and any text you send is recorded only for purposes to detect abusive use of my email system and to prevent anyone using it in a way which would comprise my policy on spam. Submitting your information to this form will not add you to any mailing lists nor add the people you write receive unsolicited email from my site (besides the recommendation email you send). The recommendation email is sent with your name and email address in the "reply-to" field.
5. Currently, my site does NOT generate any cookies - as of yet. In time, when I decide to create a "subscriber-based" section of the site, I may decide to use cookies which would be stored on your system. Not as of this time, you will NOT see or get any cookies by way of Digitalbynature.com.

* An "Opt-In" list means that you will only be added to it if you explicitly decide and submit a request to be added. My server logs do not - or cannot - record your email address. Only email addresses entered into the mailing list form will be added to the list. An opt-in list will also mean you have the right to "opt-out" or unsubscribe from the list any any time. Once your name is deleted you will receive and confirmation email from the list confirming that you will receive no more emails.
